When Mounting On Bricks & Stone & Hiding Wires::::
Please Note: When mounting TV's to Stone or Brick over fire places. Hiding the wires takes extra work. Usually bricks or stones need to be chiseled out of place to reveal what material, and equipment lies directly behind the area. ALSO the wires will be routed behind the wall, so removing Bricks and Stone is a MUST!! For Example, a fireplace might have a big vent leading out of the house. It takes time, and skill and patience to remove the brick or stone and reveal what is behind the wall facia. You don't want wires to melt on the fireplace vents, so they must be strategically placed. There is no way around doing the proper research. Other contractors DO NOT MIND FINDING a problem in the middle of a job, and slipping you the bill. They can usually get away with this, because they are already there, and the customer will usually allow them to finish the work. Also, what ever has been removed will need to be regrouted which is called repointing.
